Would you like to be part of a team thats building the future of data-driven decision making for Global Engineering Services (GES)
The Analytics & Data Engineering (ADE) team within GEIST (Global Engineering Insights & Software Tools) is seeking a talented senior Data Scientist to help establish and grow our data science capabilities. Youll be instrumental in developing predictive analytics solutions that drive better decision-making across GES operations with initial focus on project delivery risk management and cost optimization.
Key job responsibilities
Design and implement machine learning models for predicting project timeline and cost variations
Build ML-driven data quality monitoring capabilities across our Data Lakehouse infrastructure
Work closely with software data and BI engineers and product managers to integrate ML solutions into GEISTs data and software products
Create and share with audiences of varying levels technical papers and presentations
Partner with business stakeholders to translate operational challenges into data science solutions
Deal with ambiguity prioritizing needs and delivering results in a dynamic environment
About the team
The GEIST team serves as the software solution team to all Global Engineering needs working with its customers to set a consolidated Tech strategy and prioritizing investments to best serve their needs and our bottom line. The GEIST team is responsible for the sustainment of a large product suite ranging from Planning & Forecasting applications to robust in-flight management of field execution users. These systems are leveraged by several thousand internal and external users around the globe.
- 5 years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL) scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R SAS Matlab etc.) experience
- 4 years of data scientist experience
- Experience with statistical models e.g. multinomial logistic regression
- Bachelors degree
- 2 years of data visualization using AWS QuickSight Tableau R Shiny etc. experience
- Experience managing data pipelines
- Experience as a leader and mentor on a data science team
