Job Description

About the role:

The Career Medical Officer (CMO) will provide independent high level medical care including responsibility for the assessment investigation and initial management of patients presenting to St Vincents Private Hospital Lismore. The CMO will be supervised by specialist staff and provide supervision and support to junior medical staff.

About you:

  • Bachelor of medicine or equivalent currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category
  • Completion of at least two postgraduate years of medical practice
  • Demonstrated clinical and procedural experience adequate to undertake the CMO role.
  • High-level interpersonal written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to supervise mentor and teach junior medical staff.
  • Knowledge of hospital clinical governance.
