The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the schools facilities are safe functional and welcoming. This role requires a proactive organized individual who respects and supports the Catholic mission of our school.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks including minor hvac plumbing electrical carpentry painting and drywall repairs.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance needs promptly.
Ensure the safety and cleanliness of classrooms hallways restrooms and outdoor areas (e.g. playgrounds).
Maintain tools and equipment ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Assist with setup and cleanup for school events such as Masses fundraisers athletic activities and extracurricular events.
Assist with snow/ice removal lawn service and landscaping as needed.
Serve as primary contact for facility related emergencies which may require occasional evening and weekend work.
Communicate with and supervise contractors and vendors as they relate to maintenance.
Maintain tools and equipment ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Serve as a keyholder for opening/closing the school when required.
Support the schools Catholic mission by fostering a respectful and Christ centered environment.

Qualifications:
A faithful practicing Catholic who offers a joyful witness of a life of faith and is passionate about creating and nurturing a Catholic culture in the school according the mission of Spiritus Sanctus Academy.
Interacts positively with children and young people
Is self-motivated and willing to serve.
Good craftsmanship.
School employment requirements must be met.
Proven experience in general maintenance or related trades (e.g. plumbing electrical carpentry).
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks independently.
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and complete Safe Environment training (VIRTUS).
Respect for and willingness to support the Catholic mission and values of the school.
Preferred: Experience in a school or educational setting; practicing Catholic
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds climb ladders and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate/salary commensurate with experience.
