Know your way around a mower and a team The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is looking for a reliable and experienced individual to become an essential part of their team as a Mowing Crew Supervisor! Join us and help shape not just great lawnsbut a great crew.
Under the general supervision of the Park Grounds Maintenance Superintendent duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:Special Work Requirement: Work schedule is from 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. with varying days off depending on work needs. May also be required to work overtime nights weekends and holidays. Will serve as a Disaster Response worker during declared emergencies.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality to show competence in grounds maintenance work including equivalent competence in the operation or repair of passenger type motorized equipment.
Such experience must includethe knowledge ofprinciples and practices of supervision; the operation and maintenance of power and tractor mowers; equipment maintenance techniques; methods and procedures used in grounds maintenance work; occupational hazards; and safety practices and procedures. Additionally the applicant should demonstrate the ability toplan assign supervise and review the work of others; coordinate the work activities of a mowing crew; maintain work records and prepare reports; instruct others in equipment usage and maintenance and safety techniques; issue and follow oral and written instructions; maintain effective work relationships with others.
LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
Possession of a valid Hawaii State drivers license (Type 3).

In addition to meeting the above minimum qualifications your application will be further evaluated.
