What you will be doing:
- Perform professional accounting budgeting and financial reporting
- Engage in technical training with a strong focus on accounting principles
- Maintain various specialized accounting records
- Compile and analyze large amounts of financial data
- Read and interpret statutes and regulations
- Apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) Pronouncements
- Understand General Ledgers Trial Balances and GAAP Financial Statements
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications such as Excel Word and Access
Experience you will need:
- Must have a CPA or BS in Accounting
- Must have 10 years of experience working with FASB/GASB
- Must have 10 years of experience in financial statement preparation
- Must be advanced in Microsoft Office
- Must have experience with General Ledger systems (Quickbooks PeachTree CYMA FLAIR etc.)
- Ability to create update and manage desk procedures
- Must have experience with financial and programmatic compliance audits
