Job Overview
We are hiring a Medical Coder to support our UK healthcare clients by reviewing clinical documents and assigning appropriate codes for diagnoses procedures and services. Your work will ensure accurate billing reporting and record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities
Review patient records referrals and discharge summaries to determine appropriate medical codes
Assign ICD-10 CPT and other relevant codes based on UK medical billing standards
Ensure coding accuracy to support claims processing and audit compliance
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines insurance policies and industry standards
Collaborate with clinicians and billing teams to resolve documentation discrepancies
Meet productivity targets and turnaround timelines
Requirements
Certification in medical coding (AHIMA AAPC or UK-based equivalents preferred)
Previous experience coding for UK or international clients is a plus
Deep knowledge of anatomy physiology and medical terminology
Strong analytical and documentation skills
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and coding software
