- Focus on cross-functional communication robust analytical reviews to ensure completeness and accuracy and material item review and approval.
- Manage local controllership function and oversee & guide FinOps as necessary (P2P R2R Audit Fixed asset Consolidation)
- Ensure adequate performance and reporting on the following by leveraging offshore resources:
- US-GAAP accounting/closing accruals and account reconciliations
- Financial closing and consolidation
- Procure-to-pay functions (payment proposal prepared by FinOps)
- Intercompany payments
- Review monthly closing reports quarterly and year-end reporting packs prepared by FinOps
- Act as the main point of contact for all banking related activities with HSBC & Local Banks & NIQ treasury team including payroll payment approval.
- Manage the statutory tax accounting and audit processes by coordinating with the respective FinOps team auditors and tax agent to ensure compliance in terms of regulatory submission deadlines.
- Cashflow planning and cash management of NIQ & GFK entity.
- Manage local BOD requirements.
- Review and approve asset & lease accounting entries.
- Review & approve monthly account reconciliations for NIQ & GFK entities.
- Support business requirements and other language dependency.
- Consult on standardized process design and collaborate on process efficiencies.
- Other admin tasks:
- Filing of hard copy documents
- Signing forms for offboarding associates
- Any other adhoc duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field
- Professional accounting qualification (CA CPA ACCA or equivalent) local or international
- Fluent in English both written and spoken
- 35 years of relevant experience as a Finance Controller or Finance Manager within a medium to large international organization
- Strong knowledge of local statutory requirements including statutory audits local GAAP financial statements tax calculations and VAT returns
- Proven experience in preparing statutory financial statements
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems preferably SAP
- Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a proactive solution-oriented approach
