Job Description

The Imaging Service Engineer 2 will be responsible for inspecting repairing maintaining and calibrating basic diagnostic imaging equipment devices systems and instruments at Guthrie Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton NY. This role includes routine interaction with clinical health providers to identify technology-based problems and solutions. Under supervision the engineer will participate in on-the-job training programs focusing on technical administrative and customer service requirements.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of imaging experience
  • Proven ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting imaging devices
  • Experience with specific medical devices as outlined in the skills section
  • OEC training or certification is preferred

Education Requirements

  • Associates Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic or biomedical engineering or a related discipline

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of imaging equipment repair and maintenance within a healthcare environment
  • Alternatively entry-level formalized training or equivalent military training is acceptable

1. Do you have a Associates degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment.

2. Do you have 5 years of imaging equipment repair and maintenance within a healthcare environment and/or entry level of formalized training and/or equivalent military training.

3. Do you have 5 years of imaging experience.

4. Do you have experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.

5. Do you have experience with the following medical devices or equipment: Hologic Mammography Carestream- Radiology Room Fluoroscopy Phillips C-Arm Phillips/ Carestream X-Ray and some Cath Lab.

6. Do you have OEC training or Certification is preferred.

7. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
