Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Tender / Cost Estimation:
Review and analyze tender documents drawings and specifications for MEP systems.
Conduct site visits to inspect actual conditions and prepare site visit reports initial scope BOQs and associated cost estimates.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical plumbing air-conditioning and minor civil works including materials labor overheads subcontractors and equipment.
Develop and validate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on design/tender requirements.
Coordinate with procurement and suppliers/subcontractors for market-accurate quotations.
Prepare technical and commercial proposals for tenders (RFPs/RFQs).
Post-Award / Quantity Surveying & Cost Control:
Review awarded contracts and scope to develop budgetary controls aligned with project targets.
Prepare project budgets forecasts and cost tracking sheets.
Coordinate with the project execution team and assist in defining technical specifications and project scope aligned with cost benchmarks.
Monitor and validate work progress to support monthly valuations and prepare Interim Payment Applications (IPAs).
Prepare and certify subcontractor bills and progress claims based on site execution and verified measurements.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience:
Minimum 4 6 years of combined experience in estimation and quantity surveying roles for MEP works in the Qatar/GCC region.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of HVAC Electrical Plumbing and Fire Protection systems.
Proficient in MS Office Package AutoCAD Visio MS Project and estimation software.
Qualifications:
UPDA Certificate and Kahramaa License is highly preferred
Knowledge of Qatar authorities standards (Kahramaa QCDD Ashghal QCS etc.)
Experience in Construction Works and Facility Maintenance
Valid Qatar Driving License is an added advantage.
