Maintenance Millwright/Mechanic
Location: Calgary AB
Industry: Food & Beverage Manufacturing
Job Overview
The Maintenance Millwright will be responsible for installing maintaining troubleshooting and repairing industrial mechanical and electrical systems in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment (conveyors mixers packaging machines pumps motors etc.).
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical hydraulic pneumatic and electrical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct welding fabrication and machining as needed for equipment repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with food safety and OH&S regulations.
- Assist with equipment installations upgrades and modifications.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders in the CMMS system.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Work collaboratively with production quality and engineering teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Red Seal Certification/Industrial Mechanic/Millwright ticket) required.
- 2 years of millwright experience in manufacturing industry or a related industry.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems PLCs pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Experience with packaging filling and processing equipment (an asset).
- Ability to work rotating shifts weekends and overtime as needed.
- Familiarity with CMMS software.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to safety sanitation and quality standards.
