A respected law firm with a strong national presence is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Litigation Attorney to join its Team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage cases independently from start to finish and bring a comprehensive understanding of employment law matters.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Proven experience defending single-plaintiff litigation matters involving claims of discrimination harassment retaliation wage and hour violations and reasonable accommodation issues
Familiarity with PAGA (Private Attorneys General Act) matters
Experience handling class action lawsuits
Ability to manage all phases of litigation independently
Strong legal research and writing skills supported by a solid academic background
Experience drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery
Skilled in drafting and arguing various motions including dispositive and discovery motions
Experience taking and defending depositions including plaintiff depositions and corporate witness depositions
Knowledge and experience in providing employment counseling related to federal and state employment laws and regulations
A smaller portable book of business is ideal but not required
