Job Description

Summary

Come Join our team! King County Fleet Services Division is seeking a dynamic and innovative professional to serve as its Zero Emissions Program Coordinator. This position is responsible for supporting efforts in advancing the Countys Strategic Climate Action Plan (SCAP) goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in County transportation through fleet electrification and zero emission vehicles. Fleet Services leads the electric vehicle and zero emissions planning and transition efforts for a fleet of over 3000 assets.

The Zero Emissions Program Coordinatorplays a pivotal role in shaping the future of transportation in King County operations. Under the direction of the Director this position coordinates and supports the implementation of electric and zero-emission vehicles in the Countys fleet. The ideal candidate also possesses strong project management skills with a focus on collaboration and customer engagement and has a passion for fleet sustainability.

ABOUT FLEET SERVICES DIVISION

The Fleet Services Division manages King Countys portfolio of vehicles and equipment. The team performs acquisition maintenance repair replacement and disposal of approximately 3000 fleet assets for the Countys services associated with the Sheriffs Office Public Health Roads Parks Wastewater Water and Land Resources and other agencies. The division manages two maintenance shops which include robust storerooms of automotive parts materials and construction supplies as well as several technicians working in the field to support remote customer sites.


In addition the Fleet Division is responsible for the disposition of the countys personal property assets which includes a surplus warehouse in Georgetown. Disposal methods can include re-use within the county donation to verified and approved non-profits and sales through online portals or sealed/negotiated bids.

The mission of the Fleet Services Team is providing exceptional customer service in the delivery of equitable sustainable and dependable fleet solutions.

WORK LOCATION:

This position requires candidates to live in Washington State and within a reasonable commuting distance to their worksite. This position currently performs work remotely and onsite three days a week. If you are flexible adaptable and excited to collaborate both virtually and in person we would love to hear from you!
