You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailHJ Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and communication-savvy Business Analyst (BA) to support operational excellence and technology integration for our public sector client in Houston. This role is crucial in bridging business needs with technical solutions while aligning project outcomes with stakeholder expectations and agency goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners/vendors to ensure timely accurate information sharing throughout project life cycles.
Assess and evaluate existing workflows to identify improvements in efficiency automation and strategic alignment.
Conduct interviews workshops and working sessions to elicit document and validate business and functional requirements.
Collaborate with IT customer service operations and leadership teams to resolve issues and ensure project consistency.
Create dashboards executive summaries and progress reports to track KPIs project milestones and stakeholder engagement.
Develop polished materials for leadership briefings and stakeholder meetings.
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across departments and stakeholder levels
Exceptional written and verbal communication
Proficient in business analysis tools such as JIRA Smartsheet Visio and the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
Experience simplifying complex concepts into accessible actionable insights
Familiarity with both Agile and traditional project methodologies
Strong attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset
Preferred Background:
Experience in public sector or transportation environments is a plus
Bachelors degree in Business Information Systems or a related field preferred
Professional certifications (e.g. CBAP PMI-PBA or Agile-related) are desirable but not required
