Job Description
Position Overview:
HJ Staffing is seeking a data-savvy and detail-driven Business Analyst to support financial reporting forecasting and operational analysis for a high-profile client. This role is essential for improving financial transparency optimizing budget practices and driving insights through data automation and visualization.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze financial and operational data to support budgeting forecasting and strategic planning initiatives.
Design and maintain dashboards financial models and KPI reports to track performance metrics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Accounting and Business Units to deliver actionable insights.
Automate and streamline financial reporting processes using tools such as Excel SQL Power BI and Tableau.
Conduct variance and trend analysis across revenue expenditures and key performance areas.
Review contract terms for compliance with financial guidelines and project requirements.
Provide analytical support to senior leadership and stakeholders for decision-making.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Technology or a related field.
3 years of experience in financial analysis project budgeting or cost management roles.
Deep understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in Excel and SQL; experience with BI platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and communicate results clearly.
Experience with project budgeting tools like Quickbase is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with cost planning and budget tracking systems (e.g. Smartsheet SharePoint Oracle).
Knowledge of financial regulatory compliance and reporting best practices.
Experience integrating data sources across departments for unified reporting.
