Junior Cooking Camp Instructor
Join the Culinary Carnival: Junior Cooking Camp Instructor Needed! Are you ready to add some flavor to your summer Were looking for a passionate and creative Junior Cooking Camp Instructor to join our team! If you love cooking working with kids and having fun this could be the perfect role for you.
About Us: For over 75 years weve been dedicated to bringing parks recreation and wellness to our community. Our team is more than coworkers-were family. Now were excited to welcome a new member to help us inspire young chefs in the kitchen.
About the Role: As the Junior Cooking Camp Instructor youll guide children ages 6-9 on a fun hands-on culinary journey. From learning kitchen basics to creating simple recipes youll make cooking a safe educational and unforgettable experience for our campers.
What Youll Do
- Plan and lead engaging daily cooking activities.
- Teach kids how to use basic kitchen tools like knives graters mixers and ovens (all under supervision).
- Create a safe and supportive environment where learning is as sweet as freshly baked cookies.

What Were Looking For
- Must be 21 or older to lead our little chefs.
- Experience working in a camp educational or similar setting.
- Culinary skills or education (if you can turn mac n cheese into magic we want you!).
When and Where: Join us for summer 2025 in our camp kitchen the perfect spot for a fun-filled culinary adventure! Our cooking camps run for two one-week sessions in June and July with full-day activities that are sure to inspire our young chefs.
Well kick things off with mandatory paid pre-camp training sessions from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on select dates between May 12 to June 2. Attendance at pre-camp training sessions is mandatory however exceptions may be made on a case by case basis with approval from the Program Director.

Position Title: Summer Camp Program Instructor
Division/Department: Parks and Playground/Programs
Reports To: Program Director
Pay Rate: $14.25 - $15.50 per hour depending on experience
Benefits: Full family membership to the fitness center; Free uniform shirts; Medical Care Membership available with low ($68) monthly premiums.
