Job Description
CLASSROOM TEACHER
CTE Health Science GRADES 9-12
2025-2026 School Year
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences to help them develop the skills and knowledge necessary for careers in the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will have industry experience in health science profession and the ability create learning experiences that prepare students for certification exams and real-world healthcare environments.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates or bachelors degree in nursing health science or related field
- Valid state license in a healthcare field (RN LVN)
- Two years nursing experience
- Completed (or willing to complete) coursework focused on teaching adult students or have
experience in teaching or supervising nurse aides in a long-term care setting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare students for state or national certifications
- Maintain industry certifications licenses and continuing education.
- Instruct students in foundational and advanced health science courses
- Provide classroom and clinical/lab instruction with real-world relevance.
