Calling all job seekers hospitality workers event staff or even golf enthusiasts!!!
This is a wonderful and unique opportunity to join Catering by Michaels Chicagos premier catering team as Catering Event Staff (includes catering waiters bartenders and cooks) at the internationally renowned LIV Golf Chicago Invitational. The tournament is hosted by the beautiful Bolingbrook Golf Club the premier upscale golf club in Chicagolands SouthWest suburbs. We are looking to fill positions quickly for the Chicago dates!
Who Should Apply:
This position is perfect for anyone who loves being a part of large events working shoulder to shoulder with an amazing team and enjoys the energy of festival work. Prior hospitality or event production experience is preferred but NOT required. On-site training and instruction will be provided by our team. The best qualifications are a positive attitude and outlook ability to follow directions and willingness to ask questions if you are tasked with something you are not quite sure how to complete.
Interested bartenders and cooks will require prior experience and must have a valid and current alcohol and/or food handler certificate.
Position Details:
Employment for this position is temporary and we are seeking individuals available to work from August 4th through August 10th and applicants must be available to work at least August 8th August 9th and August 10th. Applicants for this position are hired as independent contractors.

Catering by Michaels will be providing catering services for the LIV Golf Invitational. Hired event staff will be placed at different outdoors or tented stations ranging from backstage VIP stations concessions stations hospitality areas buffets private boxes beverage stations/bars and more.
The event will be held at Bolingbrook Golf Club located in Bolingbrook IL. Catering by Michaels does not provide travel or travel reimbursement/stipends. Parking is available near the tournament but we do not provide additional transportation.
Catering Waiter Job Duties Include:
- Assisting with the set-up and break-down of event space(s).
- Serving and handling food in a sanitary manner.
- Assisting with preparing food displays.
- Replenishing food stations.
- Working a POS device to take concession orders and accept payment.
- Working in Hospitality Areas for tired event guests.
- Providing assistance to event guests.
- Creating an environment of high level hospitality.
- Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Bartender Duties Include:
- Set-up bar in a visually neat and appealing manner (including setting up the drinkware bottles garnishes etc.).
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to event participants and guests.
- Bartending can be in concessions or in Hospitality areas.
- Restock bar supplies as needed.
- Check IDs for legal drinking age and monitor for overconsumption.
- Creating an environment of high level hospitality.
- Breakdown bars and clean stations after the event.
Cook Duties Include:
- Loading and unloading of kitchen equipment
- Handling and preparing food in BOH and at various food stations throughout the venue.
- Cave cooking frying in a standard deep-fat fryer or cooking over a portable burner.
- Maintaining and organizing the kitchen in a neat and sanitary manner.
Catering by Michaels will provide food water and uniform for all event staff. We are offering competitive pay based on experience.
Tips are pooled during this event. Ask for more details about tip pool during interview. LIV Golf is a Cashless event.
