Overview
Qpex Biopharma is seeking a highly capable and self-motivated Lab Technician. As a Lab Technician you will play a vital role in supporting the research and development efforts at Qpex Biopharma.
Detailed Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the management of physical infrastructure equipment and operational aspects of a research laboratory and office facility.
- Work with external vendors and landlord for facility-related services and equipment maintenance.
- Be the main point of contact for incoming and outgoing shipments at the Qpex Biopharma facility.
- Clean laboratory glassware.
- Prepare buffers microbiological media and laboratory reagents.
- Maintain up-to-date inventory of chemicals.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols in the lab; maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members researchers and other laboratory staff.
- Identify and troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Associates degree or a relevant certificate in Engineering Life Sciences Facilities Management or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Mechanical aptitude to use basic tools (screwdrivers drills wrenches etc)
- Ability to follow protocols and procedures accurately.
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office tools including Outlook Excel Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to collaborate with a team and follow instructions.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to maintain an organized and clean workspace.
- Ability to troubleshoot and address minor issues independently.
- Relevant experience in a laboratory environment is preferred
Additional Information
The base salary range for this full-time position is $50000-$65000. Individual pay is determined by several factors which include but are not limited to: job-related skills experience and relevant education or training. The range does not include the comprehensive benefits vehicle allowance bonus long-term incentive or any additional compensation that may be associated with this role.
