Southeastern Directions for Life is 1 of 11 Community Mental Health Centers in South Dakota dedicated to providing quality professional services to keep our individuals families schools workplaces and communities emotionally strong and healthy. We serve children adults and families each year in the Minnehaha Lincoln McCook and Turner Counties.
Southeastern Directions for Life is currently accepting applications for a Chemical Dependency or Mental Health Therapist.
This Therapist will be a member of a multidisciplinary team and have the responsibility to provide counseling to assigned caseload; with a strong emphasis on Mental Health and Initial Integrated Assessments. While providing individual group and family therapy participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning by developing a comprehensive psychosocial assessment and crisis intervention consultation. Complete necessary documentation. Provide public or educational presentations as needed.
Hours for this position are Full Time Monday-Friday 8am-4pm.

Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree in a helping profession with Addiction Counselor in Training (ACT) is required. Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC) or Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) is preferred. Masters degree in counseling or social work with CSW or NCC preferred. Must have a current drivers license car insurance and a driving record acceptable to Southeasterns insurance provider. Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check to include fingerprinting drug screening Dept. of Health & Human Services check and a TB test. All employees must be proficient in reading writing and speaking English.
