Job Description

Pay Grade/Pay Range:Minimum: $44200 - Midpoint: $55300 (Salaried E6)

Department/Organization:208122 - Community Med & Population Health

Normal Work Schedule:Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm some evenings and weekends required for program events

Job Summary:The Graduate Program Coordinator assists with the administration of a graduate program for the college. Assists with overall development implementation and sustainability of Population Health educational programs. Supervises education programs and coordinates practicum/field/intern experience designed to enhance students professional experience. Coordinates day-to-day academic program operations. Troubleshoots issues. Identifies weaknesses proactively. Provides recommendations for continuous improvement of the program.

Additional Department Summary:Coordinates the administration of the Population Health Masters Program for the department of Community Medicine and Population Health (CMPH) and the College of Community Health Sciences (CCHS). Assists with overall development implementation and sustainability of Population Health educational programs. Supervises Population Health education programs and coordinates practicum experience which is designed to enhance students professional experience in the field of Population Health. Coordinates day-to-day academic program operations troubleshoots issues and proactively identifies weaknesses provides recommendations for continuous improvement of program operations and practicum experience for students.

Serves as a liaison for department and works directly with CCHS graduate education leadership community health professionals CCHS faculty and staff as well as other internal and external stakeholders and provides program expertise and support as needed. Promotes CMPH curriculum. Manages administrative and fiscal activities related to CMPH graduate program. Supervises support staff and/or students provides general office assistance creates promotional materials and assists in the development and execution of Population Health projects.

Required Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree and two (2) years of experience; OR Masters degree.

Skills and Knowledge:Strong program administration skills. Ability to research and prepare comprehensive reports. Ability to monitor quality control standards. Skill in developing and maintaining effective relationships with staff faculty and students. Skill in organizing work to achieve department goals and objectives.

Proficient in the use of personal computers and standard application software. Excellent organizational and effective written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service skills ability to communicate with respect cultural awareness and sensitivity. Demonstrated expertise in building presentations and reports

Ability to cope with stressful conditions. Ability to demonstrate tact versatility and adaptability. Ability to demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation and directional initiative. Skill in exercising initiative judgment problem-solving and decision-making.

Desire to exemplify the core values and mission of the organization always exercise utmost discretion diplomacy and tact in student/staff interactions. Willingness to learn and consistently deliver high-quality client-friendly service. Punctuality and reliability are paramount.

Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Education Psychology Business Public Administration Educational Technology Social Science or Healthcare-related field. Two (2) years of experience in Population Health or Public Health.
