Job Description

Full time opportunity at Epworths Julia Argyrou Endometriosis Centre where you will be responsible for the development and implementation of activities in alignment with the Centre pillars of clinical care research education and advocacy. Through improving education and awareness opportunities to patients and health professionals this role will support the overall vision and overall awareness of endometriosis whilst providing access to improved models of care.

You will make an impact by:

  • Maintain and develop an impactful research portfolio committing to the strategic goals of JAECE
  • Continue to build and execute Centre strategic priorities and ensure Centre activities align with the Centre pillars
  • Advocate for the Centre and in doing so develop key relationships of mutual benefit in order to achieve the best outcomes for patients
  • Have oversight of Centre finances and budget milestones and supervise staff employed within the Centre
  • With the Epworth Medical Foundation be aware and assist with fundraising strategies and preparing appropriate funding applications.
  • Implement strategic plan for the Centre in alignment with Centre pillars and continue to develop strategy to ensure alignment
  • Raise Centre awareness and engagement with all key stakeholders
  • Oversee design execution and analysis of Centre projects including budgets

To be successful you will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in science health care or related field
  • Post Graduate qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a busy research and/or clinical service including business development budget planning and people management.
  • Demonstrable experience in research development and/or clinical trials conduct
  • Sound experience in evaluating and assisting with research or clinical project development and implementation
  • Prior experience and/or knowledge of developing and implementing health literacy resources for consumers and health professionals.
  • Experience in provision of education training and support (Desirable)

The Julia Argyrou Endometriosis Centre at Epworth

Endometriosis is a very common disease which has been neglected for decades. It causes significant symptoms for women girls and those assigned female gender at birth as well as their families. The Julia Argyrou Endometriosis Centre was established in 2021 to address deficits in both clinical care coordination and research as well as knowledge within the medical and broader community. During this time we have established a comprehensive research portfolio and a nurse led clinic for care coordination to aid system access and navigation.
