Position: Grade 2 Classroom Teacher - SY 25-26 SY 26-27; transitioning to Dual Language Spanish Grade 2 Teacher - starting SY 27-28Location:Memorial Elementary SchoolSchedule: 2025-2026 School Year Salary: Per Teachers ContractTo Start:August 25 2025 (plus two mentoring days: 8/19/25 & 8/20/25)Qualifications:Licensure:oBilingual Education Endorsement - required for SY 27-28Bilingual in Spanish - Passing of the Spanish MTEL/other DESE-approved language proficiency assessment - requiredBilingual Education Coursework and Practicum completedoMassachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education Teacher License License - certified early childhood education teacher Pre-K-2 or certified elementary education teacher English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement - requiredWorking knowledge of the Massachusetts Common Core to collaborate and co-plan with colleagues and function as part of a team specifically in the dual language partnership with the English Language and Content (ELC) organizational and communication in inclusive settings specifically experience working with English and working knowledge of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) including how to implement classroom to differentiate instruction across all curriculum areas for all to use assessment data to inform classroom management skills and experience with behavior management or experience with Responsive Classroom and leading Morning computer/technology skills with the ability to create innovative lessons using interactive to utilize various computer software programs student database (X2) Google Suite Ellevation etc. Training in Illustrative Mathematics or Standards-Based Math of and experience with a comprehensive English (SY 25-26) and Spanish (SY 27-28) literacy program and the ability to provide the appropriate differentiated supports and scaffolds for accessibility to grade-level standards for all to participate in school Launch of the Dual Language Program in SY 27-28:Knowledge of Dual Language Education guiding principlesCreate and co-create curricular materials that as much as possible correlate with current research in Dual Language Education and meet the individual needs interests and abilities of studentsEnsure compliance with research-based goals and non-negotiables of Dual Language Education
