Job Summary:The Veterinary Technician is responsible for providing the care examination evaluation and treatment of animals in accordance with established policies and under the direction of veterinarians.

Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted and 100 lbs. assisted with prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Emotional Demands:
Must be emotionally resilient and comfortable with the emotional aspects of veterinary work including handling a variety of animals with diverse behavioral and medical needs and performing humane euthanasia.
Schedule and Attendance:
Required to be punctual for scheduled shifts during operational hours which may include evenings weekends and holidays. Attendance at regular team meetings and one-on-one meetings with direct leaders is necessary and there may be a need to work at different sites or attend occasional off-site meetings and events.
Work Environment:
The environment can be dirty wet warm and humid with exposure to zoonotic diseases pests such as fleas and ticks unpleasant odors chemicals and noises including barking. There is a possibility of being bitten or scratched and exposure to extreme weather conditions such as cold heat rain and snow when outside.
