Coventry Village School seeks a knowledgeable collaborative individual to join our team as a Reading Interventionist (1 FTE). The Reading Interventionist will play a critical role in supporting students with a variety of literacy needs by implementing evidence-based intervention strategies. This position is an integral part of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework and focuses on assessing planning and delivering targeted instruction to improve literacy skills. The Reading Interventionist will collaborate with classroom teachers special education staff and parents to ensure student success. Knowledge of the science of learning and experience with foundational and fundamental literacy approaches preferred. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE COVENTRY VILLAGE SCHOOL ENCOURAGES ALL APPLICANTS THAT MAY BE LOOKING FOR PART-TIME WORK TO APPLY AS THEY WOULD CONSIDER A REDUCTED Responsibilities:Instruction & Intervention:Provide targeted evidence-based reading interventions for students across multiple layers of the MTSS and analyze diagnostic assessments to identify students strengths and specific literacy small-group and 1:1 instruction to improve phonemic awareness phonics fluency vocabulary and student progress regularly and adjust instruction based on & Support:Work closely with classroom teachers to align interventions with core literacy with MTSS teams to analyze student data and determine appropriate progress and strategies with parents and caregivers to support reading development across Collection & Progress Monitoring:Maintain detailed records of student assessments interventions and in PLC meetings to discuss student performance and instructional assessment tools to determine the effectiveness of interventions and make data-driven :Bachelors degree in math or related subject; masters degree or graduate level coursework ideal candidate will possess three years of classroom experience with demonstrated effective presentation and collaborative understanding of the Vermont MTSS Framework and best practice and strategies.A willingness to learn and receptive to & Benefits: As per Teachers Negotiated Agreement.
