Interpersonal skills (communication problem solving conflict management collaboration) to share research-based instructional approaches and provide advice mentoring and coaching to teachers and administrators; and 6. Strong organizational skills.

JOB OVERVIEW: The work of an Instructional Coach will project a positive proactive and professional approach to the schools in which he/she works. The Instructional Coach will help support an environment with a focus on math best-practice instruction classroom management and overall effective instruction. The coach will establish a rapport and maintain constructive interaction with teachers teams and administrators.
RESPONSIBILTIES Research and provide content knowledge and resources to staff about learning and teaching such as teaching strategies assessment techniques interpretation of assessment/data analysis. Research and prepare materials for the use by district departments schools and teachers. Research and provide information and guidance regarding a range of effective and innovative instructional practices through various activities as: Individual discussions (informal and formal) Coaching sessions Demonstration lessons with pre- and post-discussion/analysis Professional learning groups Staff meetings Well-planned professional development programs encouraging lifelong learning Maintain a schedule and paperwork consistently appropriately and in a timely manner Maintain a collection of professional learning materials reflecting current research Maintain the confidentiality of schools teachers and classrooms Coordinate/facilitate instructional material pilots and implementation Participate in School Improvement meetings to support school and district goals Meet with district and building-level leadership on a regular basis Follow all state laws Oklahoma State Department of Education policies and procedures and Enid Board of Education policies and procedures. Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities. Other duties as assigned.
