A nationally respected employee-owned firm is looking for a Court of Protection Paralegal to join its growing team in either its Altrincham or Chester office. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a specialist area of law while being part of a friendly collaborative team that places real value on personal development and work-life balance.

As part of the firms award-winning Court of Protection department youll work closely with senior colleagues and directly support vulnerable individuals helping to manage their affairs with compassion precision and professionalism. This is the ideal opportunity for someone with a strong academic background and a passion for Court of Protection work who is looking to build a long-term career in this field.

Who were looking for

  • Legal experience as a paralegal ideally within a Court of Protection or private client environment

  • A strong academic background and demonstrable interest in Court of Protection work

  • Excellent communication organisation and analytical skills

  • Proactive professional and able to use initiative in a fast-paced setting

  • A team player who is also capable of working independently and managing their time effectively

Key responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Court of Protection with the day-to-day running of client matters

  • Act with empathy and professionalism in all communications with clients and third parties

  • Liaise with those involved in the care of protected parties to ensure financial needs are met

  • Assist with bank accounts mobile accounts and financial transactions

  • Maintain accurate records manage case files and ensure compliance with SRA standards

  • Use the firms case management system to manage documents and tasks
