The Elementary School Principal creates and shapes a culture of learning and provides instructional and administrative leadership at the school site over data curriculum budget operations guidance students and staff. The principal manages an environment of multiple subjects in single classrooms where the student needs and curriculum requires a master schedule focused on specific data characterized by standards-based teaching and learning personalized learning as well as a variety of activities and events. The elementary school principal directs and coordinates educational administrative and community partnerships at the school. The principal creates an environment that foster lifelong learning for self and staff members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Sets Clear and compelling direction for the school that supports the district mission vision and strategic plan.
2. Provides leadership for the development of instructional goals and objectives of the school to ensure continued student growth.
3. Establishes a learning climate which supports the best teaching practices and instructional goals and objectives of the school
4. Evaluates all students progress and areas of growth
5. Provides leadership for the development of in-service/staff development programs
6. Utilizes effective plant management practices
7. Administers the school site budgets in accordance with district policy and procedure
8. Guides staff in the determination of long-range plans and current goals and objectives
9. Participates in the development and implementation of district-approved curriculum
10. Plans organizes and directs the business operations of the school site including budgets in accordance with district policies and procedures
11. Supervises and evaluates performance of assigned personnel
12. Communicates effectively with students and families about programs individual student progress and concurrent credit opportunities
13. Directs preparation of master schedules and other school/district/state/federal reports
14. Attends and supervises school activities such as assemblies and evening events at the school
15. Plans and monitors the school budget
16. Focuses on continuous improvement and collaborates with staff and stakeholders to develop and implement school improvement plans
17. Identifies problems and solutions and utilizes strategic thinking to make decisions that impact students staff and families 18. Possesses strong communication skills (oral and written)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATION:Masters degree; minimum of five years experience as a classroom teacher; a minimum of three years of experience as aninstructional leader/coach; valid Arkansas building level administrator license.
Attendance:
Must have the ability to work for the duration of the daily contracted time period and to be physically present and at assigned work with only infrequent unexcused absences during the contract year.
