Job Description Business Operations Analyst
Procon E&C is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to support financial operations ERP system optimization and software automation initiatives across our construction projects. This position reports directly to the Director of Finance and is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys building systems improving workflows and bridging financial and operational data in a fast-paced project-driven environment.
The role requires a solid understanding of accounting workflows ERP data structures and process automation tools. While day-to-day financial operations will be handled internally complex or regulatory-heavy accounting functions will be executed in close coordination with our outsourced CPA firm. You will also play a key role in maintaining system accounts securing data access building dashboards and automating workflows through Power Automate to drive organizational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial & Accounting Operations Support:
- Assist in month-end procedures including financial close activities and bank reconciliations
- Support the preparation of financial statements business reports and cash flow forecasts
- Monitor project financials through Work in Progress (WIP) reports and support cost tracking
- Partner with outsourced CPAs to handle tax filings advanced journal entries and regulatory accounting while focusing internally on operational accounting system integrity and reporting
- Review and validate purchase orders and invoices in accordance with Delegation of Authority
- Process and maintain records for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled
- Develop internal dashboards using Acumatica and connect financial data to Power BI for visualization
System Integration & Workflow Automation:
- Manage user accounts and permission settings across Acumatica MS365 SharePoint and BambooHR
- Build and maintain Power Automate flows including but not limited to:
- Real-time PO/invoice approval alerts via Teams or email
- Automatic archiving of documents to SharePoint
- Scheduled notifications for contract or insurance expiration
- Account provisioning alerts during employee onboarding
- Support integration of Acumatica data with Power BI dashboards for executive and project-level reporting
- Design SharePoint libraries with version control and workflow logic
- Collaborate with IT and vendors to ensure secure integrated and efficient cross-platform systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or a related field
- Experience in construction accounting or ERP-supported project accounting preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Acumatica ERP or other cloud-based platforms
- Hands-on experience with Power Automate SharePoint workflows and system integration tools
- Strong analytical organizational and communication skills
- Interest in process improvement automation and data-driven decision-making
