Position at Nuvance Health Med Practice CT
Experienced Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (APRN) - in Southbury Connecticut (85 miles from New York City)
Danbury Hospital affiliated with Nuvance Health Medical Group is seeking an experienced full time Nurse Practitioner (APRN) for our Southbury Primary Care practice at in Southbury CT (80 miles from NYC and 40 miles from Hartford the Capital of CT). Southbury is a beautiful historic town with quaint suburban neighborhoods beautiful rural settings and exquisite hiking trails. It boasts two state parks a dog park and an eagle observation area and is well known for antiquing. The office located right next to a shopping center is less than 2 miles from I84 with easy on/off access and provides ample parking. It is a highly regarded well-established practice with limited on call obligations. You will work with eleven Providers (8 Physicians and 3 Nurse Practitioner colleagues). We have a busy established practice in a family-friendly location. It is our largest Geriatric practice in the state of CT. This practice sees adult patients only.
Job Responsibilities:
The APRN provides medical care for patients in collaboration with a physician assisting patients to recover from acute illnesses while minimizing the effects of chronic illnesses.
Job Requirements:
- This position requires a minimum formal education of a masters degree NP State of CT RN and APRN license CT Controlled Substances and Federal DEA Registration and Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner.
- 3 years experience as an APRN with some Primary Care experience required. Geriatric experience preferred.
- Willing to work Monday- Friday. Limited shared telephone call coverage.
