Job Description

Job Title: Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)
Location: Grass Lake Michigan
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our dedicated team in Grass Lake Michigan. As an integral part of our veterinary practice you will provide exceptional medical care to our patients and support to our veterinary team.

Key Responsibilities
Patient Care: Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures administer medications and vaccines and monitor anesthesia and recovery.

Diagnostic Support: Collect and process laboratory samples (blood urine feces) perform diagnostic tests and interpret results.

Client Education: Communicate treatment plans preventive care and post-operative instructions to pet owners.

Surgical Assistance: Prepare patients for surgery assist with dental cleanings and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
Michigan Pharmacists Association

Emergency Care: Triage and provide immediate care for critically ill or injured animals.
Michigan Pharmacists Association

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical record systems.

Inventory Management: Assist with ordering and maintaining medical supplies and pharmaceuticals.

Qualifications
Licensure: Must be a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in the state of Michigan or eligible for licensure.

Education: Graduation from an accredited veterinary technology program.

Experience: Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital is preferred.

Skills: Proficiency in laboratory procedures anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance.

Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively educate and interact with clients.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
