Job Description
DescriptionUnder the general direction of the Principal provide curriculum supervision administrative and instructional leadership to facilitate the educational development of all students and promote a healthy and safe school environment. ResponsibilitiesAssist in the supervision and implementation of the schools educational in concert with the building principal program coordinators and program heads assist in the development revision and evaluation of the curriculum and in the in-service training of in the recruitment screening evaluation and coaching of the schools professional in the supervision of professional paraprofessional administrative and non- professional personnel assigned to the in the improvement of the quality of instruction and enhancement of student related with enrichment teams; organize and monitor enrichment with the general supervision of the student body. Handle routine disciplinary matters and communicate with parents as other related duties as requested and including: scheduling organizing and facilitating math and literacy data meetings organizing school data into Excel documents coordinating district and state assessments QualificationsMassachusetts school principal certification Degree required evidence of educational coursework knowledge of child growth and development ages knowledge of current elementary curricula and instructional of a minimum of five years of highly successful elementary teaching evaluating and coaching teachers strongly working in a culturally diverse environment or the willingness to acquire these technological organizational oral and written communication knowledge of current elementary curricula (Readers Workshop Writers Workshop Math In Focus Fountas and Pinnell Classroom Foss Science) and instructional a knowledge of Social Emotional LearningCompetency working with Excel and Google Docs Supplemental Information Andover Public Schools (APS) seeks candidates who embody our ethos which includes valuing the identities of all students high expectations for all students teaching excellence collaboration innovation respect and is committed to hiring and supporting a racially and ethnically diverse faculty and staff.
