Job Description
Warrenton-Hammond School District is seeking a Special Education/Special Programs Director. This position provides leadership support and management for district special education and special programs. Ensures special education and special programs are administered in compliance with federal and state guidelines. Coordinates with building principals to supervise special education teachers and classified staff.
Applicant must have a valid administrative license and subject specific endorsement(s) (special education) through the Teachers Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) or obtain by contract start date. Must have Bachelors degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university and at least three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters degree (M.A./M.S.) in Special Education or equivalent strongly preferred. Must be highly qualified under the reauthorized ESEA. Prior successful experience teaching students with varying disabilities supervising and directing staff in a school setting required.
