Float C.N.A Position Highlights:

Responsibilities:
- Responding to signal lights bells intercom system and bed/tab alarms to determine the patients needs.
- Giving care and assistance to patients in respect to their personal hygiene grooming activity comfort rest nourishment and other health needs..
- Transporting patients or assisting patients to ambulate per physician orders.
- Turning and repositioning patients every two hours as indicated alone or with assistance to prevent skin breakdown and pressure ulcers.
- Applying compresses ice bags ted hose and SCDs as indicated.
- Takes records and reports to RN temperature blood pressure pulse (O2 saturation) and respiration rates height and weight food and fluid intake/output as directed. Reports abnormal findings immediately to the primary nurse.
- Obtains point-of-care blood glucose and reports results to RN. Reports abnormal findings immediately to responsible nurse.
- Changes bed linens and directs visitors.
- Completes secretarial duties under the direction of professional nursing staff.
- Prepares charts for admissions discharges and transfers.
- Answers the telephone intercom calls and provides information or relays messages to nursing staff (using telephone system) patients and medical staff.
- Always be the first to float to various units as needed to ensure optimal patient care based on unit and patient requirements
*Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Requirements: If assigned to ICU you will be required to fulfill the essential functions of a Telemetry Technician which involves monitoring and interpreting data from medical telemetry equipment to track patients vital signs and ensure their well-being.
Requirements:
- Current Colorado Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
- Competent to float to all inpatient units demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to diverse patient populations and care protocols.
- Strong communication interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Compensation:
- $22.50 - $25.88 per hour depending on education and experience
- Discretionary bonuses relocation expenses merit increase market adjustments recognition bonuses and other forms of discretionary compensation may be available.
Additional Information:
- Relocation: Must relocate to Grand Junction CO 81505 before starting work.
