Job Description

Overview:
HB Build is a team of design-obsessed workplace creators rethinking the way to build better. We are seeking a dynamic and driven Market Development Manager to join our team in the Seattle market to carry the flag for our established brand in a new market. This role requires a self-starting individual who is highly skilled in balancing autonomy and collaboration. The successful candidate will leverage local connections to generate new business opportunities and support our existing clients and partners ( including but not limited to: Commercial Real Estate Brokers Project Managers Architects Interior Designers and General Contractors) in understanding and embracing HB Builds unique value proposition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn Develop a deep understanding of HB Builds offerings to authentically bring the best solution forward to our clients and partners.
  • Share Use thee learnings to educate and promote the advantages of prefab interior construction to clients and industry partners positioning HB Build as a leader in innovative solutions. Marketing and brand education to include one-on-one small group large group engagements.
  • Foster Cultivate and expand relationships with HB Builds existing and new clients and partners to nurture opportunities and long-term partnerships. (Were big on partnerships.)
  • Grow Utilize local network connections to identify pursue and close new business opportunities within the Seattle market. Approach new business with a strategic lens ensuring proper qualifying of leads and a right fit for the value HB Build brings.
  • Be a Team Player Collaborate closely with internal teams including design operations and project management the local market leaders etc. to ensure client needs are met effectively and internal resources are being used strategically. Maintain flexibility and willingness to support your teammates to ensure the desired outcome.
  • Stay Organized Salesforce is the internal selling language at HB - its how we stay connected and cross-sell effectively. The expectation is to maintain accurate records of sales activities client interactions and project pipeline within Salesforce.
  • Get Out There You can expect regular weekly (local) travel to networking events customer & business influencer locations and the HB Workplaces Sprague Studios office.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales account management or business development preferably within construction architecture or related industries.
  • Ability to leverage local networks and industry relationships to generate new business.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to educate and influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Passion for innovative construction methods and sustainability initiatives.
  • Self-motivated proactive and eager to learn.
  • Knowledge of the Seattle construction market and existing industry partnerships is a plus.

Physical Demands

While performing job duties the candidate must regularly speak with others and listen. Sits during driving and stands during sales meetings. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Must be able to have specific vision capabilities such as close vision color vision perception and ability to adjust focus.
