Provide dyslexia instructional support to campus dyslexia interventionists to ensure effective program implementation.
Facilitate collaboration between classroom teachers and dyslexia interventionists to ensure services are implemented according to the 504 Individual Accommodation Plan (IAP) and Individual Education Plan (IEP).
Coordinate develop maintain and manage dyslexia databases including all reports records and documentation related to Section 504 and Special Education to track student progress across the district.
Manage and support dyslexia-related initiatives including overseeing data management and coordinating dyslexia programs.
Travel between campuses as needed to provide direct services conduct professional development and support campus teams.
Coordinate the delivering resources and training for campus staff and parents on dyslexia instruction districtwide.
Collaborate with the Supervisor to evaluate district-wide training requirements and coordinate and deliver staff development initiatives.
Collaborate with other departments in organizing district-wide reading events and dyslexia-related initiatives ensuring effective communication and support districtwide.
Facilitate relationships between Dyslexia Services and district-approved reading program contacts.
Develop programs to raise awareness about dyslexia for parents and educators.
Support campus staff and parents in addressing any concerns related to dyslexia services.
Engage in long-term departmental planning to ensure compliance with all federal state and local mandates while supporting high-quality instruction for students with disabilities and unique needs.
Required Bachelors Degree from an accredited university.
Preferred Masters Degree from an accredited university.
Preferred Licenses/Certifications- Dyslexia Practitioner or Therapist.
Preferred Valid Texas Teacher Certificate with required endorsements for subject and subject level assigned.
Required 5 directly related experience with the process of dyslexia identification and dyslexia intervention required.
Experience with multisensory language programs and dyslexia assessment.
Strong communication presentation and conflict resolution skills.
Knowledge of disability discrimination laws and dyslexia services policies.
In-depth understanding of dyslexia related disorders and remediation techniques.
Skills in data analysis problem-solving and using technology tools for instruction and record-keeping.
