We have an exceptional opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Specialist II at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in Millersburg. Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate PPI(Practical Process Improvement) events to determine and implement improvements to the PPI Business System to ensure flawless execution and drive operational excellence.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to successfully implement PPI initiatives and projects
  • Pursue benchmarking activities to identify effective strategies and integrate them into the PPI Business System.
  • Provide training and mentorship to employees on PPI methodologies and tools (5S GEMBA process mapping etc.)
  • Facilitate the development of standardized work procedures to ensure consistent and efficient operations. Review and update existing procedures as needed to incorporate improvements. Document all lean and continuous improvement activities including project plans implementation details and results.
  • Collect pertinent data on process performance productivity and quality. Analyze data to pinpoint trends areas for enhancement and potential cost reductions. Help establish and update performance dashboards to monitor important metrics linked to lean and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with PPI standards and identify areas for improvement

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum required education: Bachelors degree in Business Engineering or a related field
  • 1 or more years of proven experience in successfully implementing process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
