Job Description

The opportunity

Our client a recognized provider of child youth and family psychotherapy services in Torontos east end is seeking a Manager Community Mental Health Services.

This is an opportunity to provide clinical supervision and leadership to a team of Registered Social Workers and Registered Psychotherapists. You will oversee outpatient core clinical services lead the implementation of practice standards for measurement-based care and collaborate with operational and data teams to enhance service delivery.

This is a permanent non-bargaining unit position 35 hours per week on-site five days per week.

Stability and structure. This is a full-time permanent in-office position with a well-established organization. You will have the operational support data infrastructure and administrative processes in place to focus on driving meaningful change without being stretched thin.

You will:

  • Deliver impactful services. Oversee the delivery of outpatient mental health services for children youth and families. Lead service delivery strategies and projects that align with clinical goals and sector shifts.
  • Lead and supervise a clinical team. Provide clinical and administrative supervision for therapists guiding best practices in individual family and group therapy. Lead team meetings and clinical rounds and facilitate cross-program consultation.
  • Foster data-driven practice. Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Clinical Operations and data teams to ensure robust data collection and meaningful evaluation of service impact. Ensure documentation is timely accurate and aligned with KPIs.
  • Ensure operational readiness. Manage program workflows coordinate clinical schedules and lead accreditation preparation. Monitor therapy quality through session reviews file audits and feedback.
  • Respond to incidents and risks. Review critical incidents and serious occurrences. Provide guidance on client and staff concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up. Consult on disciplinary procedures and staff relations.
  • Strengthen program performance. Lead annual work plans establish clear objectives and support performance management for your team. Identify training and development needs.
  • Promote equity inclusion and belonging. Embed cultural humility anti-racist practice and inclusive approaches in clinical delivery. Support continuous learning and model inclusive leadership.
  • Build strategic relationships. Engage with funders and community partners to support effective programming. Oversee acquisition of clinical resources and support service improvements in collaboration with other leaders.

You bring:

  • Education. You have a Masters degree in a psychotherapy-related field. You are registered with a regulated health college in Ontario with authorization to deliver the controlled act of psychotherapy. You have a clinical supervisory designation for psychotherapy and family therapy. You participate in ongoing education in Equity Diversity and Inclusion principles.
  • Clinical leadership. You have three years of experience delivering individual and family psychotherapy and additional time providing clinical supervision. You have experience managing program delivery quality assurance and clinical risk. You are familiar with DBT trauma-informed care and family systems work.
  • Management experience. You have four years in a management role in a youth mental health or related setting with a demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and resolve complex challenges. Experience working in Scarborough or similar communities is preferred.
  • Equity and ethics orientation. You are committed to ethical practice and high personal integrity and you have a proven ability to foster inclusive workplace culture. You have experience implementing equity strategies and addressing Anti-Black Racism.
  • Strategic thinking and operational ability. You have strong project planning and management skills and an ability to align program delivery with community needs and system priorities. You are comfortable using data and evaluation for decision-making and improvement.
