Job Description
Our Client is located in the Cook County IL area and is looking for a detail-savvy process-driven Accounting Manager to help lead the financial operations of our dynamic Oil & Industrial Services (IFS) segments. What Youll Do:
As our Accounting Manager youll play a key role in keeping our financial engine running smoothly.
Supervises and provides leadership to 3 direct reports 2 Accountants and 1 senior accountant.
Lead and mentor a team of accountants.
Oversee monthly quarterly and year-end close processes.
Manage inventory and transportation accounting.
Analyze financial performance and support strategic decision-making.
Prepare key financial summaries KPIs and executive reports.
Support budgeting forecasting and audit processes.
Drive process improvements and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
Partner with cross-functional teams and contribute to special projects.
What our Client is Looking For
8-12 years of experience in accounting audit or financial leadership roles.
Bachelors degree in Accounting; CPA preferred or in progress.
Strong communication analytical and leadership skills.
Experience with inventory and cost accounting is a plus.
Ability to travel quarterly to operations.
What You Bring:
A strong foundation in accounting (CPA preferred).
Experience managing financial closes audits and reporting.
The analytical chops to turn numbers into strategy.
