What youll do
SAS CloudOps Platform division is an innovation team that applies the latest technologies to continuously improve customer experience and optimize operational efficiencies. Do you seek out innovative technologies and find the best way to apply them Do you enjoy the challenges of integration of complex workflows while simplifying the customer experience Do you find yourself championing solving problems through code If so the SAS CloudOps Platform team would like to talk to you.
As a DevOps Engineer you will have the opportunity join a team of engineers that are developing a new cloud-native platform to deliver self-service analytics to SAS customers. You will help guide the architecture and implement complex orchestration across global cloud platforms. A strong aptitude for continuous learning and rapidly implementing modern technologies is required. Additionally this role requires a holistic view of architecture applied development operations performance security and costs.
You will:
- Collaborate with a team of engineers and developers across multiple divisions to build and operate the SAS CloudOps platform architecture components and APIs.
- Build automation workflows to deliver internal and external customer services.
- Utilize containerization with technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Implement DevOps engineering best practices to deliver production services via self-service portals.
- Improve automation framework and take ownership of continuous improvements for all services delivered via DevOps pipelines.
- Utilize a diverse set of architecture engineering and programming skills to build and manage integrated automated systems.
- Create and maintain current solution and architecture documentation.
What we are looking for:
Required:
- Experience with modern technologies such as Docker Kubernetes Azure Cloud Ansible GitHub Cloud and Terraform.
- Experience in automation integrations and leveraging Cloud services in one or more of the cloud providers including AWS Azure or GCP.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment methodologies using pipelines such as GitHub Actions GitLab pipelines Azure DevOps or Jenkins
- Experience with Cloud Networking and Security troubleshooting.
- Experience developing deploying and supporting Kubernetes orchestration.
The nice to haves:
- Experience with API development and integration.
- Experience with YAML or other markup languages to manage deployments as code.
- Experience managing multiple complex workstreams concurrently.
- Experience with Jira Confluence ServiceNow or other issue tracking software.
- Experience developing cloud native solutions with security-by-design.
- Proficiency reading and debugging code in Open-Source projects.
