Job Description
Make a Real Impact as a English Tutor
Are you a passionate educator making a difference in the lives of students with SEN or SEHM needs We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors to join our team. Youll provide personalised 1:1 or small group support in English for Key Stage 3 or GCSE students. These in-person sessions in Walton offer the chance to work closely with students helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.
- Hours: 1 hour per week
- Location: Walton Milton Keynes
- Day(s): Wednesdays
- Time(s): 5.30pm-6.30pm
- Subject and Level: English GCSE Literature and Language (AQA)
- Pay: 30 p/h
- Contract length: Minimum 10 weeks
What Youll Do
- Deliver up to 1 hour of tutoring per week.
- Plan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Provide targeted support for students with ASC and ADHD.
- Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Monitor progress produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes.
Requirements
Were looking for someone who has:
- A Bachelors degree
- 3 years of tutoring / teaching experience.
- Experience working with students with SEN and/or SEMH needs.
- An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The right to be self employed in the UK
