Your Mission:
Join us in disrupting the international energy trading market and leave your mark in re-defining how energy traders work!
We are looking for a seasoned Platform Engineer looking to play a major role in how enmacc develops its internal platform developing solutions and abstractions to make it easier for all those in engineering to build deploy operate and observe the services that power enmacc. You will be working closely with your peers including Data Engineers and Data Scientists lending your knowledge and expertise to make the right decisions to build our Data and Intelligence offers for enmacc as a whole.
Your Responsibilities / What youll do:
- Shape the architecture technology choices and development of cloud infrastructure.
- Take a leading role in projects from scoping to delivery.
- Design implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and automations
- Collaborate with leadership engineers and product to drive automation and continuous improvement of platform products
- Support other engineers who use our platform products providing guidance and encouraging adoption of best practices
- Identify analyse and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
- Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements and enhancements.
- Encourage adoption of You Build it You Run It mentality within engineering by developing/maintaining platform products that reduce the burden of ownership/maintenance of services
- Work with your peers in the Platform team to accelerate the adoption of our internal platform
- Conduct knowledge sharing sessions and take part in community meetings where youll collaborate with backend and frontend
Your profile / What youll need:
- Degree in computer science or similar field or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years experience experience with AWS
- Strong familiarity with core IaaS concepts such as compute storage networking identity management etc.
- Experience working with a multi-AWS account setup
- Experience working with AWS CDK
- Able to code in at least one programming language ideally Typescript or Python
- Familiarity with data processing in the cloud (e.g. Athena Glue Airflow etc.)
- Experience working with relational/NoSQL databases (e.g. Postgres MySQL DynamoDB)
- Experience working with Docker AWS services (e.g. S3 Athena Glue Cloudformation Bedrock)
- Experience working end-to-end (from ideation to deployment) to deliver production-ready solutions
- Experience with Observability solutions (e.g. Cloudwatch etc.)
- Experience working with stakeholders
- Experience with DevOps/SRE principals and processes
- AWS certifications are a plus (e.g. SA Associate/Professional)
- Background in Software Engineering is a plus
- Strong written and spoken English skills
- Able to work autonomously and in a result-oriented way
