This position consists of multiple roles as follows:
- Intervention/Prevention- support the ongoing services provided by the school counselors and meet with students and/or groups of students. This person may also engage parents conduct home visits and support teachers in the implementation of behavior plans. This individual will also be available to respond to any crisis within LASD as needed.
- Mental Health Liaison - serve as a liaison between LASD and mental health agencies to ensure effective collaboration across school and agency personnel.
- LASD Teams Committees Programs- serve with staff counselors nurses and administration members on committees and teams to support student success.
- Social Work as a Related Service for Special Education - provide/assist LASD with social work services in meeting goals and interventions outlined in student IEP documents.
