Job Description

POSITION: Welder/Fabricator (Night Shift)
NIGHT SHIFT: Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 4:30am (OT as needed)
PAY RATE: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour (DOE) $2 shift differential pay Full Benefits Package
LOCATION:West Fargo ND

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the safe and efficient fabrication of steel products. The Welder I is an entry-level welding position with all work being completed with close supervision.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Follow all company safety and quality requirements.
  • Able to Learn company policies and procedures.
  • Able to work on basic manufacturing assignments that have set standards.
  • Able to follow detailed instructions while observed closely by supervisor or lead.
  • Able to problem solve simple and non-complex issues that need little judgement.
  • Able to perform measurements within specified tolerances.
  • Learn to read blueprints.
  • Ability to work with others.
  • Ability to work safely and accurately.
  • Prompt and dependable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND QUALITIES

  • Able to perform simple flat and horizontal welds and flat groove welds.
  • Able to Fit and weld subassemblies with tack or spot weld.
  • Able to perform measurements within specified tolerances.
  • Exhibit knowledge of material identification equipment utilization and welding equipment set-up and maintenance.
  • General knowledge of equipment and operations.
  • Basic understanding of Weld symbols.
  • Understand and follow oral and written directions.
  • Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
  • Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.
  • Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.
  • The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1 year of welding experience preferred.
