Job Description
Well established family-centred child development centre based in Cairns is currently seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to join their growing team.
This is an opportunity to become part of a friendly and collaborative group of allied health professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and their families.
The Team & Workplace:
The centre comprises a multidisciplinary team of over a dozen professionals including speech pathologists occupational therapists and early childhood educators. The facility offers modern treatment rooms and resources creating a nurturing environment that supports both clients and staff. The team works closely together encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver evidence-based speech and language interventions for children.
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans that support functional communication outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with families educators and other therapists to ensure holistic care.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Maintain accurate professional clinical documentation.
What Youll Need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology.
- Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Experience in paediatric settings preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while being a proactive team player.
Highly Regarded:
- Experience working within the NDIS framework.
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies and child development frameworks.
