JOB TITLE: Human Resources Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

REPORTING TO: Human Resources Manager

PRIMARY FUNCTION OF POSITION:

Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department and ensure the smooth operation of HR processes. This role serves as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries and helps coordinate various HR functions.


DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Responsible for carrying out duties listed below in a proficient orderly manner while maintaining a positive attitude and solid attendance record.
  • Superior organizational communication and computer skills.
  • Recruitment Support: posting job requisitions conducting phone screens scheduling interviews coordinating communication with candidates and onboarding select applicants.
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
  • Employee Records Management: maintaining and updating personnel files ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of HR data and managing HRIS (Paylocity)
  • Benefits and Payroll Assistance: timecard corrections PTO approvals benefit enrollment coordinate with payroll or benefits vendors and address basic benefits or payroll inquiries
  • Assist with annual benefit open enrollment performance reviews and other monthly or annual events.
  • Compliance and Reporting: assist with audits ensure HR policies and procedures are followed and support compliance with labor laws and company policies
  • General Administrative Support: prepare HR documents (e.g. contracts letters) organize training sessions or company events and handle HR-related correspondence and communications
  • Other duties as required.
  • Mandatory - discretion to work with confidential information.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High School diploma
  • Minimum one year of human resources experience or education
  • HRIS experience Paylocity preferred

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • Sitting 90% standing or walking 10%
  • Occasional lifting of files or boxes weighing 30 to 40 pounds
