Job Description

The School of Interdisciplinary Forensics (SIF) in the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University is seeking two full-time benefits-eligible non-tenure track Instructors in anthropology biology chemistry criminalistics statistics computer science and/or other related fieldsto teach courses in our Forensic Sciences programs (Forensic Science BS; Forensic Science (Death Investigations) BS; Computational Forensics BS). The successful candidates will be required to teach up to 10-15 courses per year (5-5 per semester with summer teaching available.) for undergraduate or graduate students. This position may teach in-person online or a hybrid schedule. Instructors are pedagogical specialists who bear the primary responsibility for their assigned courses.     Essential Functions of the Position:



    Required Qualifications:

    • Masters degree in forensic science or related field or bachelors degree and significant professional experience at the time of hire

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Doctoral Degree preferred
    • Two (2) years of teaching experience
    • Experience in online and in-person instruction
    • Three (3) years of professional forensic scientist experience
    • Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with students from a wide variety of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds including first-generation college students
    • Evidence of teaching excellence e.g. student evaluations syllabi peer observation annual evaluations etc.

    Teaching/Student evaluations may be required at the time of the interview.
