Position Summary / Primary Purpose
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Network Administrator to oversee and manage our companys IT infrastructure systems and team. The Network Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the secure and efficient operation of all computer systems related applications hardware and software used within the organization. This role requires a combination of in-person and virtual work with some responsibilities needing to be carried out on-site. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills leadership abilities and a strategic mindset to align IT initiatives with the companys goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. IT Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department ensuring all systems networks and infrastructure function smoothly and securely.
- Manage the installation configuration and maintenance of hardware software and network systems.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
2. Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect the companys data networks and systems from potential threats.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards regulations and best practices.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
3. Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead mentor and manage the IT team fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Set performance goals conduct regular evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members.
- Coordinate and delegate tasks to ensure the timely completion of IT projects and support requests.
4. Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the companys objectives and support business growth.
- Track emerging technologies and assess their potential to enhance the companys systems security or service delivery.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies tools and practices to improve the companys IT infrastructure and operations.
5. Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with external vendors service providers and stakeholders to negotiate contracts and manage relationships.
- Ensure timely delivery of IT services and products from third-party providers.
- Communicate effectively with other departments and leadership to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate support.
6. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the organization can recover from potential IT disruptions.
- Regularly test and update recovery procedures to adapt to new risks and changes in technology.
7. All other duties as assigned
Education Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT management or a similar role.
- Strong background in user support and IT service delivery in high-uptime environments
- Strong technical knowledge of networks systems hardware and software.
- Demonstrated experience leading IT projects across multiple locations or remote environments
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience with strategic planning and vendor management.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Must have Drivers License in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in IT Computer Science or Business Administration.
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A Network Security PMP or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native environments including Azure Active Directory Microsoft Intune and M365 ecosystems
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Occasional travel to various office locations across the state of Hawaii.
Job Type:Full-time Monday through Friday typically 8:00 AM 5:00 PM occasional evenings and weekends
Pay:Starting at $75000 annually depending on experience
