Starlink Lab Technician (Direct To Cell)

STARLINK LAB TECHNICIAN (DIRECT TO CELL)

One of the most ambitious missions that SpaceX has undertaken to date the Starlink satellite constellation is our solution to providing reliable internet to the entire world. We are looking for a talented technician to support our Sunnyvale lab where spacecraft hardware and software are validated. The ideal candidate is someone who can work independently solve ambiguous problems and are well organized. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assemble computer and mechanical components used to test the Starlink network
• Rack cable and configure servers and switches
• Label and document lab setups
• Inventory and maintain supply of test hardware
• Run functional testing of spacecraft hardware including setup instrumentation test execution and teardown
• Develop test procedures and processes to troubleshoot and repair lab spacecraft test setups
• Assist in the identification installation and implementation of test equipment instrumentation and data acquisition systems
• Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated track calibration schedules
• Manage schedule priorities and independently executing work to meet company deliverables
• Keep lab organized and ensure safe working conditions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school degree or equivalency certificate
• 1 years of hands-on work experience with soldering and power tools

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Associate degree
• Demonstrated ability to read interpret and work from drawings controlled documentation and processes such as: layout drawings mechanical drawings assembly procedures/work instructions; schematics engineering drawings and parts list
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience with Ethernet and fiber cabling
• Experience with Electro-mechanical assembly and prototype development
• Experience setting up and running tests and experiments
• Experience with Linux and IPv4 networking
• Experience with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Standing for long periods of time climbing up and down ladders bending grasping sitting pulling pushing stooping and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
• Able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:
Lab Technician/Level 1: $26.00 - $32.00/hour
Lab Technician/Level 2: $31.00 - $37.50/hour
Lab Technician/Level 3: $36.00 - $43.00/hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills education and experience.
