Job Description
Amazon Worldwide Operations is looking for a Program Manager Central Operations to own strategic tactical cross-functional projects and programs within Amazon Logistics (AMZL).
Key job responsibilities
- Be the single-threaded owner responsible for planning execution and delivery of defined projects
- Partner with teams across the business you support and beyond to source allocate and coordinate resources
- Influence design and development of strategic processes
- Manage and deliver results on complex projects across multiple organizations
- Work with program managers and business leaders to communicate and impact critical business initiatives
- Engage with stakeholders to provide lift and guide the team and their customers toward consensus
- Negotiate process improvements and needed features distinguishing between important and urgent
- Gather and analyze data to help drive business decisions
- Bachelors degree in supply chain business engineering finance or related technical or quantitative field
- 1-3 years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g. pivot tables & charts multiple criteria lookups nested logical/IF formulas data cleansing array formulas etc.)
- PMP
- Demonstrated ability working in an ambiguous environment
- Executive level written and oral communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of analytical tools such as SQL Tableau MS Excel or Microsoft Access
- Demonstrable problem-solving mathematic and analytical skills using data to drive decisions in a business environment
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in effective communication of goals and strategies across multiple leadership levels of an organization
- Proven ability to influence internal/external stakeholders without authority to adopt new processes/initiatives
- High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple competing projects and priorities simultaneously
- Demonstrated success in thinking strategically and executing methodically
- Analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
- Demonstrated experience communicating data insights to others including use of data visualization tools
- Demonstrated ability to dive deep in understanding the product our business and the competitive landscape
