Banding:Band 7

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Speech & Language Therapist to join our clients team at Lavender Lodge School in Mitcham. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dedicated and supportive environment where even the smallest positive changes in young peoples lives are celebrated.

Key Responsibilities

Lavender Lodge School is situated within an 18th-century building in the heart of Mitcham. The school welcomes pupils from a variety of boroughs offering them the opportunity to experience what is described as a life-changing love of learning. Lavender Lodge takes pride in its pupils and its dedicated team with students leaving the school with a strong sense of achievement. The school was recently recognised as Good by Ofsted.

Their clinicians are a crucial part of the most integrated model in SEND. Across all of their specialist schools and childrens homes they provide unrivalled levels of clinical support both in terms of expertise and breadth of provision. The young people they support present with complex needs including developmental trauma neurodevelopmental conditions and special educational needs.

As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team you will support educational and residential colleagues in creating therapeutic living and learning environments. Based on clinical assessment and formulation you will offer individualised interventions and engagement to young people. Youll also assess mental health needs and recommend appropriate interventions through personalised care plans. Building rapport is keyby doing so youll be able to deliver effective counselling and provide feedback on progress.
